I’ve been telling my clients for years that WordPress is one of the best SEO blogging software available today. I’ve been challenged many times and I’m really glad Matt Cutts has stated this fact in the below video. Matt also discusses Google’s PageRank and he makes it simple! Thanks @ThatAmy

Great video. Enjoyed it, but where exactly does he say “best”? He does say it’s a “great choice,” but I didn’t hear him say “best”.
I agree that it is a good choice for blogging, but there are other CMSs that are equally as good for SEO.
Webster if Matt Cutts is using the platform, what makes you think he wouldn’t pick the best for his own blog solution? Any proof there is a better platform?

Regarding pure on-page SEO I really don’t think there is a “best” CMS. Many CMSs allow for fine grained control of URLs, unique title tags, clean code, robust category systems, integration with Twitter, FB etc…
I’m not saying WordPress isn’t good for SEO. It’s great, but so are many other CMSs.
What can WP do from an SEO standpoint that other CMSs can’t?
