Ok, I’ve been given the 411 on the bloop cloverfield and concept of slusho by a colleague of mine, but what I’m reading on the net is interesting and it seems that the original followers are timing-out.
My first blog post titled, 1.18.08 or Slusho Viral Marketing Campaign has started a following! I love returning visitors, so I will be updating my blog regularly with information on Cloverfield, Slusho, or the Monstrous. I have clients in L.A. and will be seeking underground information for future posts.
From what I’ve learned, Slusho is a drink that is derived the sea.
I’m learning mostly from the comments on blogs:

“I started trying to re-work the phrase “You Can’t *Drink Just Six” and came up with the word toxic, then stopped.
However, I heard someone else say that You Can’t *Drink Just Six” can also be an anagram for “A Toxic Industry’s Junk.” It is also an anagram for “Toxic Junkyard Units,” which isn’t nearly as interesting. Perhaps this underwater substance in Slusho, or even the monster, is a product of us polluting the oceans and air. Then there was the bit about how it’s so warm in NYC for January – pollution and global warming are definitely a part of this movie.â€
Google Results 11 – 20 of about 208 for “slusho underwater drink†on Thursday, Jul 26, 2007
Then there was another comment that took my attention:

“Has anyone visited slushozoom.com?
It has a paypal link that charges $.25 and it says you’ll receive whatever in 6 days for some bathhouse. it also has links to a bunch of seemingly random websites including an old japanese/german movie on imdb, an article about cocaine energy drink and the commotion it has caused, and some vaccine. The pics for the links include the statue of liberty and a geisha. Of course, the “Slusho: I bet you can’t drink just 6″ is right in the corner, as well. There seem to be a lot of underwater/octopus themes between all the sites (listed on slusho.org). Also, if you look up cthulu, a sea monster from an old book with a cult following, you find the author of the book was h.p. lovecraft. going to hplovecraft.net yields “Coming
Soon!”
MixMike continues, “This last may be a stretch, but slushozoom.com is a definite go. Anyone with the time/patience/intelligence to come up with the missing link between the sites, let the rest of us know what’s up. the bottom of that page, when highlighted, says “Did the past ever exist, if there is no proof? All is not as it appears.”
Not sure if that’s just some guy trying to get $.25 whenever someone wants clues or not…this site looks so unprofessional compared to all the others.â€
Anne’s take on MixMike: face it – it’s the web! In our up and coming 2008 elections let’s make sure to vote on Net Neutrality
We want the freedom to make money and create buzz without being differentiated and made to pay money to be included in networks. Let’s take this one step further: imagine ATT&T requesting an additional fee to have your blog or web site available on the internet? This means no freedom to support your voice on the internet. People will have to pay a fee to have their voice published and big businesses will control the tone.
Rabbit Hole For 2008 Elections
Please watch the following video. It’s an hour long, so take a break in your day. I want to know the “other” information within our democracy and not be tied to lobbyists and special interest groups. I want the truth, even if the video posted in speculation. This video has been around for years, but needs to be rebirthed. My sister Elizabeth Haynes was on flight 63 with the shoe bomber Richard Reed. In that one moment in time, if that bomb would have exploded, I would have lost my entire immediate family. I don’t know if any of you saw the new trailer for an unnamed movie attached to the Transformers, but if anyone wants to follow a pretty innovative viral marketing campaign from its early stages, now might be a good time.
It’s a marketing campaign surrounding a new movie produced by J.J. Abrams, who is the writer/director behind LOST.
Following the steps below to learn more about 1.18.08 or Slusho and the viral marketing campaign:
1- Go to the Apple site and watch the 1.18.08 trailer
2 – Then got to 1.18.08 Site
3- Google “bloopâ€
It’s a campaign that crosses many sites about a physical phenomenon. They even have a fake news story embedded into cnn.com.
4- Google “Slusho”
JoBlo.com
“In other news, IGN has speculated that the film may be using the working title ‘SLUSHO’, the name of the slurpee-esque beverage that is offered to Jennifer Garner’s character in the second episode of ALIAS. Personally, I don’t care about the title, I’m already sold on this thing, by the super covert advertising campaign. Stay tuned for more info as it breaks!â€
SlashFilm.com
“The Slusho.jp site seems to be a legit part of the Cloverfield viral marketing campaign.â€
