As some of you know and my Google Analytics data confirms, I’ve been found as a link in the viral marketing campaign that started when the Transformers was released earlier this year. After the moviegoers were released from the action packed Transformers show, they were give a taste of a movie; no name, no actors’ names, just a date: 01-18-08.

This secret film with no name and only a release date was born and the blog posts began! While I’d love to take full credit for my marketing research on 01-18-08, I had an informant and he/she kept me up on the latest.

It’s funny, I did a search tonight, now 5 months later, I found a forum user from unfiction.com on December 26, 2007 stating that Jamie Lascano is one of the actresses in Cloverfield. I found Cloverfield Jamie Lascano on August 2nd 2007.

It’s obvious that search marketing has come into play based on the traffic to my blog. My Google Analytics stats have been over the top on various terms; 01.18.08, cloverfield slusho, 01-18-08 etc. Visitors are finding some information on my blog. But I believe they are missing the Cloverfield actors’ myspace profiles I found in August 2007. It’s was my best post about the insights of Cloverfield aka 01-18-08.
