John and Peoples-

I haven't studied or watched this from the inception. I don’t follow, I’m clueless, but I enjoy viral marketing. I’ve been in search for several years and while I spend most of my time taking care of my clients, I appreciate it when colleagues and clients send me viral marketing 411's. I learned about "bloop" from a colleague.

This bloop/sound thing under the ocean reminds me of the movie “Contact” but underwater.

So what is the dealio? Someone clue me in please! I'm more interested in the microscopic organisms so deep within the ocean that their light is able to power laptops and TV LCDs.

P.S. thanks for the ranting

Re: Bloop. The "fake" CNN story is corroborated at NOAA: http://www.oceanexplorer.noaa.gov/explorations/sound01/background/seasounds/seasounds.html#Anchor-1515

Could the government be behind the unexplained and documented noise that is only vaguely peripheral to this film?

Fake, huh? For someone running a site about SEM, you aren't very good at the search part.

The Cloverfield campaign is very interesting. The marketing firm behind it is doing a very good job. The Gossip Rag has some interesting news on it as well: www.thegossiprag.com

Anne, I was wondering how you cam across the bloop phenomenon in reference to the campaign. Yours is the first reference I've found to I found.

Anne, I'm curious as to how you came across the "bloop" phenomenon as a possible connection to the Cloverfield Project. Yours is the first reference to this that I've read.

Bloop isn't fake... I've been reading about Bloop for (I believe) a decade now. Possibly speculated to be part of Blue Whale mating.

Or the ruins of R'yleh.
